You are more hopeful than I am. Those same people didn't demand the scrutiny or ask the questions themselves. Why do you think that they ever will? Far too many just believe what they are told...perception is reality.

James, you evidentally haven't heard the latest. Prez Obama had a re-do on the swearing in ceremony and invited only a few reporters. His administration also issued some official photos of his first day in the Oval Office - the only photos - and some of the media refused to show them.
It looks like someone has read "El Presidente's Guide to Being El Presidente". Evidentally the first chapter is to give access to the media that toes the line (drawn by El Presidente). Now he will wait for the weak reporters to publish perfect/polished pics in return for access to El Presidente.
